  • OUR FIRST SESSION

The Very First After School Club Session

What a fantastic session. I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to every one. Those who came and gave up their time and came and helped. You were amazing and I couldn’t have managed without you.

To the many who came and tried something they had never tried before. Normally the greatest barrier to starting a new hobby, in particular martial arts, is the fear of the unknown and uncertainty of something new! In our classes we refer to it as 'SCAREY STUFF SYNDROME' where possible new members become anxious about starting due to the perception of their first session being singled out, not made welcome and, in a lot of martial arts, like being placed in an army boot camp! Our classes are quite the opposite in that we deliver them in view of ensuring all members, families and friends feel welcome and their needs/goals are met, in what really does become a most satisfying pass-time.
As you will instantly become aware, our instructors/junior leaders and helpers are very friendly and keen to help you achieve and get the most out of what you do. Everyone has to start somewhere and to coin the old chinese proverb - 'every great journey starts with a small step', - even instructor Mrs Emma Dorrell tied a white belt around her waist once!

  • INTRODUCTION

    Welcome,

It is the children who acheive self-confidence at an early age that are most likely to succeed and Martial Arts training is arguably the best way to install a sense confidence into children, whilst at the same time emphasises the importance of respect and discipline, using the five tenants of Tae Kwon Do. Courtesy, Integrity, Perserverance, Self Control & Indomitable Spirit.

Children see Martial Arts training as the ultimate activity, in our clubs everybody is a winner, it's not just who's the best gets to play.

Our system of training is based on both inner and outer development, including self-expression; concentration, goal setting and finally self-achievement by using motor skill development, co-ordination, flexibility and self-awareness as the basics to the physical training.

Children learn to reach their full potential through our confidence building fun and game focused martial arts programmes.
